Procedure filling the Duracool 12a Strong>
Filling Procedures - Ducts Duracool 12a 170gr Span>
Read the instructions carefully and watch the warning on the Duracool® bobbin. Can be installed on systems of R12 and 134a. Follow regulations and laws according to region.
Preparation of equipment for use
(the assembly of the equipment must be tightened by hand)
Before installing the faucet on the bobbin ensure that the faucet is fully rotated counterclockwise to prevent the bobbin from being pierced prematurely
Aim the faucet on the can
At the other end of the hose (the one with the valve) screw the quick-release connector R134a or R12, depending on the fitting that equips your vehicle. Filling procedure Span>
Turn on the vehicle and adjust your air conditioning to the maximum to start the compressor. Locate the low pressure service port of the air conditioning system usually a blue and black plug (never connect on the high pressure side)
Remove the low-pressure cap
To connect the quick connect connector to the low pressure service port. Reverse the ring, while holding the ring push the connector to the low pressure service port. To ensure a good connection the ring will return to the initial position.
Turn the faucet valve clockwise until the faucet pierces the bobbin.
Turn valve counterclockwise to allow refrigerant to enter the air conditioning system.
During this procedure the bobbin must be reversed.
When the compressor reaches stops and stops every 45 or 60 seconds approximately, this will indicate that you will have to stop the filling procedure. If you are using the DC402 refill hose with manometer, the needle should not exceed 45 PSI (top of the blue zone, ideal recharging zone) becausebeyond that you would be overloaded. P>
If the temperature inside the cabin is not cold enough, refrigerant should be added in small doses (partially opening and closing the valve to the proper temperature (50 ° F).
Be careful not to overload the system, let the compressor run for a few minutes before adding refrigerant.
When the filling procedure is completed, turn off the faucet by turning it clockwise until it stops.
To remove the quick-connect connector, move the ring away and the connector will come out of itself. P>
If it still contains refrigerant, keep the faucet on the bobbin. Keep away from naked flames and store in a well ventilated area.Li>
Attach the identification ticket near the service port.
Retrieve the existing refrigerant charge in a suitable container. Local regulations may vary from region to region. Do not mix refrigerants.
Purge the circuit to -69 kpa (-10 lb / in²)
Connect the gauges et hoses, then, with the compressor off, FILL the Duracool® 12a side with the low pressure side of the compressor. Adjust the probe tip of the probe to establish the flow. (The flow stops if the spindle is turned too far.) When a minimum load is reached, start the compressor and set the circuit to high pressure.
Add the required amount of Duracool® 12a
After checking the pressures and temperatures, remove the charging hose and place the Duracool® 12a label (included) on the refrigeration or air conditioning circuit. make sure labels are perfectly visible.
Remember that Duracool®12a is flammable and should only be leak tested with an electronic hydrocarbon tester, soap bubbles or a fluorescent screening liquid. In case of leakage, ventilate the room, keep the product away from open flame and repair the leak. After repair, continue charging.
If the circuit has been overloaded or leaking and needs to be recharged, drain the entire circuit and start charging again from scratch.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The equivalent weight of Duracool® 12a relative to other refrigerants is specified in "NET WEIGHT". Duracool®12a should be loaded as a liquid.
- DO NOT OVERLOAD THE CIRCUIT! Exceeding 414 kpa (60 lb / in²) on the low pressure side may damage the compressor. In some cases, disengaging the warning light may overload the circuit. Overload may cause loss of cooling efficiency
- When using additives ( sealquick , systemseal , duradry , kwykdie , AC Oli Chil l), these must be installed in the air conditioning system BEFORE to make the refills in Duracool 12a
