MULTICOOL 12a is a surrogate fluid with a reduced global warming potential (GWP) for HFC-134a (R134a), R12 and 1234yf. It can be injected into all air conditioning systems operating with these gases such as automobiles, cold rooms ... etc.

Application and use:

Perfect for use in small commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, in which R12, R134a, 1234yf and duracool 12a have traditionally been used.

Security:

The safe application of hydrocarbon refrigerants by accredited technical experts is guaranteed with a common sense approach and compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.

Simply put, hydrocarbon-based refrigerant can also be used in refrigerators and air conditioning systems.

However, like gasoline, solvents and other common volatile substances, hydrocarbon refrigerant is highly flammable, so its release must be prevented when an ignition source is present. The auto-ignition temperature of the refrigerant is 460-470 ° C.

Product features:

Availability:

Available in cans of 285 ml, or 160g of product (equivalent to  430 grs  of R134a, 450grs of 1234yf, 480grs of R12).


ADVANTAGE of MULTICOOL 12a : MULTICOOL refrigerants do not require approvals to be purchased, or installed in an empty circuit of CFCs, HFCs or HCFCs.

Although MULTICOOL12a is miscible with R12, R134a and 1234yf, it is forbidden to mix these freons with each other

Any intervention on a circuit still containing fluorine : CFC, HFC or HCFC requires the intervener to comply with the laws in force (Decree of 4 July 2009), namely to have the freon recovered beforehand by a duly authorized professional.

Mon expérience sur Volkswagen Bora TDI 130 de 20 ans aucune recharge de climatisation faite: GAZ R134a a l'Origine

moteur éteint, climatisation sur froid, thermomètre dans la bouche d'aération
branchement du raccord rapide Basse pression du manomètre, canette brancher, mais pas percuté.
60 PSI aux manomètres, j'enlève l'air dans le tuyau en desserrant un peu le raccord près du manomètre (très peut) et je ressers.
Je démarre le moteur, la climatisation enclencher 19° au thermomètre dans la bouche d'aération.
25 PSI aux manomètres, à peine de quoi enclencher le capteur de climatisation (pressostat).
j'envoie le gaz de la canette a l'envers ça monte a 26 PSI aux manomètres, la température descend fortement a 8° au thermomètre
j'arrête le moteur, je déconnecte le raccord rapide et je change de canette (l'ancienne canette vide).
Je reconnecte le raccord rapide Basse pression, j'enlève l'air dans le tuyau en desserrant un peu le raccord (très peut) et je ressers.
Je redémarre le moteur, la climatisation enclencher.
j'envoie le gaz de la canette a l'envers je monte à 30 PSI aux manomètres, j'entend le compresseur forcer un peu plus
la température descend plus fortement a 6° au thermomètre dans la bouche d'aération.
Conclusion :
j'ai laissé comme ça, a 30 PSI et 6° au thermomètre, je n'ai pas voulu percuter une autre canette pour atteindre 45 PSI.
Car si j'ai une fuite ((je n'espère pas) je devrai me servir des deux autres canettes que j'ai, voir en acheté 2 autres.
Et vider la climatisation, changer les joints toriques, changer le filtre déshydrateur, tirer le vide et recharger le système.
très bon matériel, gaz excellent, envoie très rapide, merci multitanks.
