Culinary tip:

The lettuce is eaten in salads but also braised or smothered.

Soil tip:

To avoid seed climbing and extend the harvest period, water regularly.
Lettuce likes sunny exposure.

Culture advice:

1. Sows: Sow in 15 cm distant lines, in a place with a thin and rich earth and sunny exposure in March (or as early as February under cover).
2. Transplanting: At the 3-4 leaf stage, select the most vigorous lettuces and plant them in the ground at 25 cm.
3. Harvest: Harvest from May to June.

Plants:

Apple lettuce likes the proximity of the radish because by sowing them together, the lettuce is less likely to rise to seed.
