The Pack of 2 Solar Vibration Repellers for Moles, Voles and Field Mice ACTO (Reference: RUST4) is the large-scale ecological solution specifically developed to durably protect your lawns, vegetable gardens and flower beds against damage caused by burrowing rodents. This pack of two autonomous photovoltaic emitters offers exceptional total coverage of up to 800 m² in total (400 m² of circular protection per device). With no biocidal products or harmful chemicals for the soil, these stakes effectively repel moles, voles and field mice by leveraging the natural underground acoustic aversion reactions of these animals.
Each device is equipped with a high-performance solar energy accumulator coupled with a flower-shaped head specially tilted at 45° for optimised and rapid capture of sunlight. This mechanical design enables ultra-fast battery recharging to ensure continuous operation day and night, 24 hours a day. Every 20 seconds, the device triggers powerful vibratory impulses lasting 5 seconds that propagate through the soil over a radius of 10 to 15 metres at 360°. Perceived as an imminent danger by the highly sensitive hearing of rodents, these waves disturb them and force them to permanently abandon the protected area.
The effectiveness of wave propagation varies depending on soil texture: loamy and clay soils conduct vibrations perfectly, while sandy or stony soils require particular attention. Thanks to their increased emission power, these ACTO emitters remain extremely effective even in very stony wooded gardens rich in roots. To effectively protect large plots or uneven configurations, it is recommended to install one device every 20 to 30 metres in order to form an impenetrable vibratory barrier along your plots.
Its installation is easy and is carried out cleanly without excessive physical effort. After connecting the internal electrical plug of the tube to that of the head and assembling the components, select a sunny area away from tree shade and orient the photovoltaic head towards the South. Prepare a hole adjusted to the diameter of the stake and gently push the tube into the ground without ever using a hammer so as not to damage the structure, making sure not to exceed the maximum insertion mark. Once the device is in place, level the existing molehills in order to visually monitor the definitive cessation of new earth mounds.
Designed to withstand harsh outdoor weather conditions, the emitters have an IP44 protection rating enabling them to withstand normal exposure to rain, snow and automatic sprinkler systems. To maintain maximum charge levels, regularly clean the solar cell base with a soft cloth and take care not to strike the stake when passing with a lawn mower. During deep winter, it is advisable to remove the device from the ground: frost hardens the soil and moles descend to great depths, making surface activity minimal.
