Out of stock on duracool
Temporary stock outage
Due to very high demand, our Duracool gas is out of provisional stock in the 2 formats we offer: cans of 170 grams and cans of 9kgs . As stated, this is only temporary of course. We should be replenished in about 15 days, between July 15 and July 20, 2018, we should have received the container more than a month ago. The vagaries of trade mean that many delays have been added to each other in recent weeks and are now creating this situation.
Replacement of R12, R134a and HFO 1234yf refrigerant gases with Duracool 12a gas
r12 and r134a gases are banned from use in new cars: since 1994 for the r12 , and January 2017 for the R134a . The r12 is now prohibited for sale, and the r134a can be sold and used only in the second-hand market. Millions of cars, more or less old, in the world still use these frios harmful to the planet.
For the person or company who wishes to recharge the air conditioning of his vehicle at r134a, it is impossible to acquire this gas unless you have a certificate of fitness to handle refrigerants that only cold professionals can obtain. As for the R12, there is no alternative unless you convert your car to the R134a at great expense.
That's why manufacturers like Deepfreeze have launched environmentally friendly gases like duracool 12a and duracool 22a, non-polluting and non-toxic. These gases do not contribute to the deterioration of the ozone layer and have a relatively negligible global warming potential (GWP) compared to their official counterparts such as CFC and HFC.
The advantage of refrigerant gas Duracool 12a is that it can replace both R12 and R134a gases officially, without any modifications to the vehicle's air conditioning system. This refrigerant can be used with mineral oils, esters, PAG or any other synthetic oil. Numerous professional duracool 12a tests have concluded that the duracool 12a could also replace the HFO 1234yf refrigerant gas, replacing the R134 in new cars.
Efficiency of Duracool refrigerants compared to r12 and r134a
Due to the chemical composition of the Duracool , it is advisable to charge only about 30-40% of the initial amount of the original refrigerant (r12 or r134a). For example, air conditioning requiring 500grs of r134a can be loaded with a single can of duracool 170grs 12a. A can of duracool12a is equivalent to 484 grams of r134 or 512 grams of r12
