Of subtropical origin, the Kikuyu (Pennisetum Clandestinum) is used to extreme conditions of heat and drought. It is a perennial grass forming a soft and dense lawn, spread by powerful and numerous rhizomes and stolons. It is widely used around the Mediterranean basin and especially on the Côte d'Azur. It also adapts very well to the seaside and tolerates a saline atmosphere.

Ultra easy to maintain and with a fast development, kikuyu is a plant that is perfectly suitable for replacing a lawn or turf.
