When it's 40 degrees in the shade, it's not easy to spend time outdoors! The solution? Buy a terrace spray. We explain how it works and help you choose your own.
During the summer, you'll probably want to laze on your terrace, or even do a tanning session in your garden if you're lucky enough to have one. Unfortunately, when episodes of high heat occur as has often been the case in recent years, the risk is that you will quickly be discouraged from setting foot outside...
The mister is precisely what will allow you to pass to enjoy your outdoor space without feeling like you are consuming yourself in the sun! How? Thanks to the principle of misting, which consists of sending fine droplets on the area you want to refresh.
Once in the air, these fresh particles absorb some of the heat, and thus lower the temperature in order to make it more bearable... Some equipment can even reduce it to 6 degrees Celsius!
During a heat wave, we inevitably ask ourselves the question of the best method to survive the heat... And inevitably, we're thinking about investing in an air conditioning system to cool your interior, which isn't necessarily the best idea.
On the one hand, the terrace mist is a much more economical system, given the level of consumption of air conditioners, which are often very energy-intensive. And on the other hand, it's not really a solution for those who like to spend time outdoors in the summer...
As for watering the terrace, you will spend a lot of water for a less marked result than with the mist, which really gives a feeling of incomparable freshness!
The problem when looking for the ideal mist for its terrace is that there is a very wide range, and that the prices vary enormously - you find models that cost only 20 euros, when you have to pay more than 1000 euros for other models!
It is therefore difficult to get a clear idea of his need, and the material that corresponds to him. Here are some tips and a review of what is found on the market, just to help you make your choice:
Among the different misting systems is the low-pressure mist, which is usually the cheapest. The advantage? Just plug it into a faucet or a garden hose to enjoy the freshness of a small mist... If you want to buy one, count between 20 and 60 euros. You will see that the effect is most enjoyable!
Also with the idea of a droplet scattering system, the high-pressure spray will be effective more quickly, but is also interesting if you want to get rid of pollens and dust, which promote the presence of insects that are not necessarily appreciated - especially wasps - and can cause allergies.
Beware, however, of your budget: the high-pressure mist is more expensive, so you will have to pay between 1,000 and 1,500 euros to acquire one.
Finally, there are fans that are misters, which are particularly powerful and can be moved wherever you want! This type of equipment can cover an area of more than 50 m2, and you will have the option to place it where you want, depending on your occupations in the garden throughout the day.
At Multitanks, we offer accessible facilities. This is the case with the Gardena misting kit for terraces and balconies, which presents itself as a good quality model among low-pressure misters. It will allow you to cool the air of your terrace by almost 6 degrees Celsius, and will easily settle on any terrace or balcony.
To install it, you'll simply need to connect it to a faucet. Then all you have to do is fix the 7 buzzing nozzles depending on where you want the particles to be diffused. As long as you are provided in the 13-clip kit for fixing your hose, you can also opt for a permanent installation by screwing them.
Also in case you need more sources of freshness on your terrace or in your garden, you can also complete the kit of additional misting nozzles. These can be fixed where you want, throughout your 10m-long mist pipe - that leaves plenty of possibilities!
Once your nozzles are in the ideal place, you can enjoy your terrace/balcony without suffering from these extreme heats that prove painful in the middle of summer... Just just rest!
