REFRIGERANT DURACOOL 12A - 5.4 KGS net cylinder

    DC0001

Duracool 12a is a natural refrigerant gas, without greenhouse effect or effect on the ozone layer, hydrocarbon-based, therefore flammable.    Duracool 12A ideally replaces the gases R12, R134A and 1234YF that can be found in automotive refrigeration circuits. Duracool 12a is indeed compatible with both air conditioning oils (mineral and synthetic).

Duracool 12a is a natural refrigerant gas, with no greenhouse effect or effect on the ozone layer, based on hydrocarbons and therefore flammable.

Duracool 12A is an ideal replacement for the R12, R134A and 1234YF gases that can be found in automotive refrigeration circuits. Duracool 12a is compatible with both air conditioning oils (mineral and synthetic).

In addition, Duracool 12a has larger molecules than the original gases, and thus saves 30 to 40% of gas on the full charge of the refrigeration circuit. Each 5.4 kg cylinder is equivalent to:

    • 14.58 kg HFC-R134a
    • 16.2 kgs of CFC-R12
    • 10.8 kgs of HFO 1234yf

Duracool refrigerant gases work at lower pressures and provide energy savings of up to 40% compared to CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs.

ADVANTAGE of Duracool 12a: DURACOOL ® refrigerants do not require approvals to be purchased, or installed in an empty circuit of CFCs, HFCs or HCFCs.

GWP ( Global Warming Potential) coefficient of duracool 12a: 3.0 to 3.15.

For your information, here is the GWP of some refrigerants that duracool 12a replaces:

    •  R134a: 1430
    •  R12: 10900

Now, here is what the law says succinctly: a fluid with a GWP > 1500 can be used until 2025, and from 2030 a refrigerant must have a GWP of less than 150

The hydrocarbons used in the design of duracool 12a in the mixtures are of pharmaceutical grade purity, verified by certified analysis at each load.

duracool 12a is therefore clearly a refrigerant gas of the future as a substitute for R12 and R134a

Although Duracool 12a is miscible with R12, R134a and 1234yf, it is forbidden to mix these freons with each other

Any intervention on a circuit still containing fluorine : CFCs, HFCs or HCFCs requires the intervener to comply with the laws in force (Decree of 4 July 2009), i.e. to have the freon recovered beforehand by a duly authorised professional.
