What is a packaging heater for?

 

A packaging heater is a heating system (often in the form of a blanket), which makes it possible to keep the products stored in the IBC / IBC containers, vats and other drums, at a constant temperature.

Indeed, at room temperature, many materials (such as syrups, sugars or greases) become viscous, which makes it difficult to flow out of the container. This can lead to product losses and eventually become expensive for professionals. Heating the container thus reduces the viscosity of the material to facilitate unloading without loss of product. The tank heater can also be used to heat other liquids, such as water, resin, oils, diesel ... thus allowing them to be poured or pumped easily.

But that's not all, depending on the different production processes ordered, some materials require a specific level of temperature or viscosity. Packaging heating also responds to this problem by making it possible to stabilize the temperature of the material, to liquefy it, to polymerize it or to steam it.

Other benefits of these warming blankets (and not least), they help preserve the products of cold and frost in winter. In fact, in warehouses, production lines and other storage areas, temperature changes can be significant. Protecting the tanks and the materials they contain is therefore essential during the winter season.

Note: To speed up the heating process, we recommend the use of the IBC / IBC insulation cover, which easily attaches to the top of the container, reducing heat loss.
