A customer whose air conditioning no longer blows cold does not want a lesson in thermodynamics: they want a product they understand, a gesture they know how to do and a result they can see. This is the typical case of recharging the air conditioning of a car, a motorhome, a utility vehicle or a small refrigeration unit.

For you, the reseller, it is an item that is simple to explain, sold with its accessory (recharge hose, tap) and that meets a concrete need. You keep the relationship with your customer; we keep the stock and the explanations.

Duracool: the solution you can offer

Duracool 12a is a natural refrigerant gas based on hydrocarbons, designed to replace R12, R134a and 1234yf gases in car air-conditioning systems. Here is what our product pages say, point by point:

• Less gas to put in: its larger molecules save 30 to 40% on the charge compared with the original gases. One 170 g can replaces several hundred grams of fluorinated gases.
• A circuit that works less hard: the gas runs at lower pressures, which reduces the compressor's energy consumption (up to 40% according to our product pages).
• A real ecological argument: no effect on the ozone layer and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3.0 to 3.15, against 1,430 for R134a.
• Compatible with oils: mineral and synthetic oils, with no oil change needed for the conversion.
• A self-sealing can: the internal valve closes when the tap is unscrewed, so the customer keeps the remaining gas for later.

Duracool is a flammable hydrocarbon (class A3, like the gas in a lighter): work outdoors or in a ventilated room, with no flame or cigarette, and never mix fluids together. These precautions are in our guides, so that you can explain them to your customers with complete transparency.

Demand that follows the hot season

Air-conditioning recharging is concentrated in the hot season: summer in Europe, and the austral summer, from November to April, in the southern hemisphere and the Indian Ocean. To have enough to answer your customers when the heat arrives, it is better to prepare your first order before the season than during it.
