Bed Bug and Dust Mite Pad for Bedding Tranquilléo - 3 Months of Protection

The Tranquilléo bedding pad is for that precise moment when you realise the problem comes from the bed itself : bites in a row on waking, small dark spots on the sheet or along the seams of the mattress. Placed between the bed base and the mattress, it diffuses continuously for 3 months in the enclosed space where bed bugs spend their days. Made in France, it has been on the French market since 2012.

Why a spray is not enough

A bed bug does not live on the mattress : it comes to it at night, then spends the day in the seams, the quilting, the slats of the bed base and the cracks in the frame. That is what makes surface treatment disappointing : you spray what you can see, and the population starts again from what you cannot see.

The pad tackles the problem from the other end. Placed at the heart of the bed, it works permanently in the enclosed space formed by the mattress and the bed base. It is no longer you who goes looking for the insect in its hiding place : it is the atmosphere of the hiding place that changes, and it does not become habitable again between two applications.

What the test says, and what it does not say

We prefer to quote the report rather than a slogan. The test was carried out on 8 December 2023 in a laboratory approved for biocides, on the product “anti-bed bug, scented polymer F1” as a pad of 115 x 80 x 4 mm. Conclusion : complete insecticidal efficacy under the conditions of the trial, and a repellent power above 90% against Cimex lectularius, the bed bug, and Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, the house dust mite. Times measured : 2 hours for the bed bug, 1 hour 30 minutes for the mite.

These are trial results, obtained on given samples and a given strain. A real home is not a laboratory bench : an infestation that has been established for months and has spread to several rooms calls for treatment of the whole home, not only the bed. The pad treats the bedding, which is the main focus, and does so durably.

Where to place it, and how many

Open the bag from the top, at the seal, and use the packaging to handle the pad without touching it with bare hands. Position it between the bed base and the mattress, in the middle of the bed. It starts working as soon as it is in place.

• Bed already infested : one pad on each side of the bed.

It stains neither the mattress nor the linen, and is stored in its bag between uses.

Preventive use, as professionals do

Since 2012 the manufacturer has been equipping hotels, holiday rentals and guesthouses, which install the pad all year round without waiting for the slightest sign. The logic is simple : in a place where different people sleep every week, the risk is not the declared infestation, it is the suitcase that arrives. Permanent protection costs far less than a room taken out of service and a pest-control treatment.

The same reasoning applies to a private individual who often has guests or who travels regularly. To protect the luggage itself, you need the suitcase version : smaller, designed for 5 weeks of continuous activity.

This product is an insecticide and acaricide biocidal product (TP18), formulation identifier UFI : XUNT-0H1U-AJ05-JFTN. Handle the pad using its packaging and avoid direct contact with the hands. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Store it in its closed original packaging, in a cool, dry place ; the product must be protected from frost. Do not dispose of it in the environment or down the drain.

Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
