The RONDO log holder by Cookking (Reference : 333258) is a steel wheel 80 cm in diameter, divided by a cross into four compartments and mounted on a rectangular base. It stands 82 cm high and is only 25 cm deep : it sits flat against a wall, by the fireplace or next to the fire bowl.

Welded, not screwed — and that changes everything

This is the technical point that separates this model from an entry-level log rack. The structure is fully welded, with no screwed parts at all. A bolted assembly works loose under the load, develops play and ends up leaning : a stack of dry logs easily weighs several tens of kilos, and the stress is constant, not intermittent.

The bars are solid steel, not thin folded tube. The log holder therefore keeps its shape even fully loaded, and keeps it over time. The whole thing rests on a steel base that widens the footprint and prevents tipping when you pull a log from the top.

A piece of practical advice that does not appear on the manufacturer's data sheet but that holds for any metal store used outdoors : let the air circulate behind it. Damp wood pressed against a wall dries more slowly, and water standing between the metal and the wall always ends up finding a flaw in the coating.
