      Summary #1
The Marmande tomato is a traditional variety that is highly appreciated for its precocity and generosity. This annual grow cycle is ideal for gardeners who want to harvest large-sized fruit quickly at the beginning of the season. Although its vegetation is slightly reduced, it has an indeterminate habit that imperatively requires solid staking to support its vigorous development in a vegetable garden or vegetable patch.
      Summary#2
This variety is distinguished by its large, ribbed and slightly flattened red fruits, weighing on average between 160 and 200 grams. Its flesh is particularly fragrant and fruity, offering a superior taste quality that delights lovers of authentic flavors. Its natural resistance to verticillium makes it a robust choice for outdoor crops, ensuring a healthy harvest on all types of soils.
      Summary#3
To ensure optimal production, rigorous maintenance is recommended. It is recommended to keep only one main stem per plant and to systematically remove the "suckers", these secondary branches appearing in the axils of the leaves. This method allows the plant's energy to be focused on ripening the fruit rather than foliage development, thus optimizing the final yield.
      Summary#4
Sensitive to mildew, the Marmande tomato requires special attention to humidity. Watering should be done early in the morning or late in the evening, taking great care not to wet the leaves to limit the risk of fungal spread. As a preventive measure, you can apply a natural solution consisting of a litre of water, a spoonful of baking soda and a little black soap to spray on the plants.
      Summary#5
In the vegetable garden, the Marmande flourishes near aromatic herbs and marigolds (or marigolds), whose roots secrete protective substances against nematodes. In the kitchen, its large size and dense flesh make it perfect for the preparation of stuffings, homemade coulis or the traditional tomato-mozzarella salad with olive oil. However, it is frosty and must be preserved from any temperature below 5 degrees Celsius.
