A dry diffuser is useless. That is the classic failing of this kind of device: you set it up in spring, it runs well, then the refill runs out in the middle of July — at the worst possible moment. With three refills in reserve, the question no longer comes up all season.

Three refills means the whole season

One 250 ml refill delivers 10 to 12 weeks of continuous diffusion, depending on the interval set on the diffuser. Three refills therefore add up to 30 to 36 weeks, in other words April to November without a break.

That is exactly the period when flies and mosquitoes are a problem in France. Outside it, the diffuser can stay switched off until the following spring: an unopened aerosol keeps without losing effectiveness.

Setting the interval to match the season

The diffuser offers three settings: 9, 18 or 36 minutes. The shorter the interval, the denser the protection — and the faster the refill runs down. This setting makes a fourfold difference to how long a can lasts.

In practice: 36 minutes in spring and autumn, when pressure is low; 18 minutes for everyday use; 9 minutes in peak heat or in a heavily exposed space. The three refills in the pack are precisely what lets you push the rate when needed without fear of running dry.

Where this format makes the most sense

For a household, three refills cover a terrace or a conservatory for the whole warm season. The diffuser treats up to 70 m², the equivalent of a large room or a covered outdoor space.

For a professional — restaurant, butcher, livestock building, food processing workshop — it is the logical format: protection cannot be interrupted, and one order per season beats three emergency orders. It is in fact what our customers already do, buying these refills three at a time on average.

Storage and good habits

An aerosol that has not been punctured keeps for several years away from heat and frost. Store your spare refills in an indoor cupboard rather than in an uninsulated garage or a conservatory, where the temperature climbs sharply in summer.

Change the refill as soon as the diffuser no longer produces a short, audible spray, without waiting for the insects to come back. And check the diffuser batteries at the same time: a full refill on a dead device gives exactly the same result as an empty one.
