    Tip Vilmorin: Radish likes proximity to lettuce because when they intersperse their seedlings, the radishes will grow in the shade and the lettuces will not be too tight.

    Sow in fine, pebble-free soil and harvest 4-5 weeks after sowing.

    Taste the roots, to be chewed as an aperitif, with a knob of butter and salt.
