Link two IBC tanks to have a single draw-off point. The kit brings the two S60x6 adapters, the 1.20 m spiral hose, the two BDFast® compression fittings, the ball valve and its sleeve.
One adapter per tank : the set stands on its own, there is nothing else to order to link two tanks together.
EPDM and NBR gaskets, intended for water. 1 inch outlet, weight 0.849 kg, made in Italy.
A complete kit to link two IBC tanks together and have nothing but a single draw-off point. It brings the two S60x6 adapters, the 1.20 m hose, the two compression fittings and the valve : nothing to look for elsewhere, nothing to improvise.
Seven pieces : two S60x6 to 1 inch adapters with flat gaskets, one spiral hose of 25 mm inner diameter and 1,200 mm long, two BDFast® compression fittings for that hose, one ball valve with a handle and one connecting sleeve.
The gaskets are in EPDM and NBR, an assembly the manufacturer intends for water. For a chemical or a hydrocarbon, it is another series of kits you need to look at : at Bucchi the gasket changes with the liquid, and it is not interchangeable.
Every piece has its role and none is surplus : the two adapters close the bungs, the two compression fittings hold the hose, the ball valve controls the flow, and the sleeve connects the outlet to your own pipe. It is a closed set, delivered ready to screw on.
That is the question you ask yourself in front of this kind of kit, so it may as well be answered straight away : there are two adapters, one at each end of the assembly, so one per tank. Between the two, the hose and its two compression fittings ; on the outlet side, the valve and its sleeve.
The kit therefore stands on its own. It links two tanks and gives them a single draw-off point, with nothing else to buy. What remains is to screw the two adapters onto the bungs, slide the hose into its fittings and tighten.
The hose mounts onto two BDFast® compression fittings. You slide it in, tighten by hand, and the seal is made on the pipe with no clamp and no tool. It is the manufacturer's own system, and it is what makes dismantling as quick as assembly.
One detail that pays off in use : the link is a spiral hose, not a rigid tube. Two pallets are never perfectly aligned ; the hose absorbs that offset and lies as it comes, where a rigid tube has to be measured and then cut to the right length.
The length of 1,200 mm leaves some margin : it takes up an offset between the two pallets, a run over a containment tray, or one tank standing higher than the other. The manufacturer also offers a kit with a 600 mm hose, of slightly different composition.
On the tank side the thread is S60x6, that of the 2 inch bung on the most widespread 1,000 litre IBC tanks. On the outlet side the kit works in 1 inch, and the bore stated by the manufacturer is 1 inch x 25.
That bore of 25 mm is the hose's own. On a link between two tanks it is not the flow rate that matters but the reserve : the two tanks balance slowly, by gravity, and the drawing off is then done at a single point. A larger diameter would not change much.
The net weight of the set is 0.849 kg. It is made in Italy by Bucchi, who guarantee their products for twelve months from delivery.
Check two things : that both your tanks do carry an S60x6 bung, the most common pitch but not the only one, and that the liquid you are transferring really is water — that is what the gaskets of this kit are intended for.
Finally, set the two tanks at the same height. Linked at the bottom, they work as communicating vessels : a difference in level between the pallets would make the higher one drain into the lower as soon as the link is opened.
This is the assembly you find in rainwater harvesting, where a single downpipe feeds two tanks, and in irrigation, where you are after reserve rather than flow rate. It also holds for buffer storage in a workshop or on a site.
Before ordering, a one-minute check saves a return. This kit screws onto the S60x6 thread, known as the "artillery pitch", which fits the great majority of 1,000 litre tanks sold in France — but not all of them.

Two marks are enough to recognise it, and they are measured on your tank outlet with the cap removed :
| D1 — outer diameter of the thread | 60 mm |
| P1 — pitch, from one thread to the next | 6 mm |
A pitch of 6 mm gives wide threads, few in number, visible to the naked eye : that is the simplest sign. If your tank ends differently — cam lock, DIN thread, gas pitch — the kit will not screw straight onto it : an adapter has to be fitted in between, and we stock them.
Identify your thread with our matching tool : you enter what you measure, it tells you which part to fit in between.
