The kit for the first tank of an IBC series. It brings the S60x6 adapter, the 600 mm hose, the two compression fittings, the tee, the plug and two valves.
Two valves, because the lead tank serves both as an outlet and as a link : you close one without closing the other.
Extendable thanks to the tee. Each tank added calls for a 0101597 kit. Flat gasket, 1 inch outlet, made in Italy.
This is the first link in a series of IBC tanks. This kit equips the lead tank : it gives it its draw-off outlet, and the start of the link that will reach the neighbouring tank. Each tank added behind it then takes a 0101597 kit.
One S60x6 to 1 inch adapter with a flat gasket, one spiral hose of 25 mm inner diameter and 600 mm, two BDFast® compression fittings, one tee, one plug and two ball valves.
The manufacturer's exploded view shows them all, and it is the number of valves that separates this kit from the next one : two here, only one on the extension kit. Everything else is strictly identical from one kit to the other.
The adapter screws onto the S60x6 bung of the tank, that 2 inch pitch carried by the great majority of 1,000 litre tanks. It is the same thread as that of our taps and our IBC tank fittings : if you have already fitted one, you will not be on unfamiliar ground.
The lead tank does two things at once. It feeds your pipe, and it communicates with its neighbour. So it needs one valve per function : one controls the outlet, the other the link.
The assembly then allows the link to be closed without closing the outlet. You isolate one tank to move it, rinse it or replace it while the other goes on serving — and the other way round, you cut off the drawing without separating the tanks.
Without that second valve, the slightest intervention would mean emptying or dismantling the whole set. On a reserve of 2,000 litres, the difference is counted in hours and in buckets.
The tee is the piece that makes the installation extendable. It opens a third way, closed off by the plug as long as it is not in use, and ready for the day you add a tank.
That is the difference from a simple link hose : going from two tanks to three does not call for dismantling what is there, only for taking off a plug and screwing the next kit on at the end of the row.
The same logic holds the other way. If you cut back your reserve for the winter, you take away a tank, you put the plug back, and the rest of the series works without anything else being moved.
On the tank side, the thread is the S60x6 of the 2 inch bung. On the circuit side, the kit works in 1 inch, on a pipe of 25 mm inner diameter — common sizes, for which a quick coupling or a hose tail is easily found.
The BDFast® compression fittings are tightened by hand, with no clamp and no tool : you slide the pipe in, you screw the ring, and the seal is made on the wall of the hose. Dismantling is just as quick, which counts on the day a tank has to be moved.
The adapter, for its part, seals on a flat gasket and not by tightening the thread. There is no point forcing it with a wrench : you tighten by hand until the gasket makes contact, and you stop there. The set weighs about one kilo.
One detail that pays off in use : the link is a spiral hose, not a rigid tube. Two pallets are never perfectly aligned ; the hose absorbs that offset and lies as it comes, where a rigid tube has to be measured and then cut to the right length.
This kit equips one tank only, the first. For a series of two tanks, add one 0101597 kit ; for three, two 0101597 kits. We also offer the first two together in a single pack, if that is your case.
The hose supplied measures 600 mm, and that is not the reach of the installation : the extension kit brings as much again, and the two meet at the tee, which puts 1,200 mm between your two bungs. The valve comes out in 1 inch, which is the diameter you connect your pipe to.
Finally, check that your tanks do carry an S60x6 bung — it is the most widespread pitch on 1,000 litre containers, but there are others. And bear in mind that the gaskets of this kit are intended for water.
Before ordering, a one-minute check saves a return. These kits screw onto the S60x6 thread, known as the "artillery pitch", which fits the great majority of 1,000 litre tanks sold in France — but not all of them.

Two marks are enough to recognise it, and they are measured on your tank outlet with the cap removed :
| D1 — outer diameter of the thread | 60 mm |
| P1 — pitch, from one thread to the next | 6 mm |
A pitch of 6 mm gives wide threads, few in number, visible to the naked eye : that is the simplest sign. If your tank ends differently — cam lock, DIN thread, gas pitch — the kit will not screw straight onto it : an adapter has to be fitted in between, and we stock them.
Identify your thread with our matching tool : you enter what you measure, it tells you which part to fit in between.
