The success of a planting, whether in the ground or in a container, depends above all on the quality of the substrate chosen. The Plantation Or Brun potting soil, offered in a generous 35-litre bag, has been specifically developed to accompany the gardener in his creation and maintenance work. This complete growing medium combines noble raw materials to provide plants with an environment conducive to vigorous development. Its balanced structure is the guarantee of healthy growth for all varieties in the garden, from ornamental shrubs to balcony flowering plants.
The effectiveness of this potting soil lies in its mixture of components with complementary properties. By combining blond peat with wood fibres and composted bark, this substrate ensures perfect aeration of the roots, thus avoiding the risks of asphyxiation often encountered in soil that is too heavy. The addition of topsoil stabilizes the whole, offering an ideal texture that facilitates the penetration of young roots. This technical formulation makes it possible to accelerate the recovery of plants from the first days after planting or repotting.
To support long-term growth, Or Brun potting soil is enriched with an organo-mineral fertilizer NPK (5-3-8) of natural origin. Precisely dosed at a rate of 2 kg per cubic metre, this fertiliser ensures progressive nutrition without the risk of burning for fragile rootlets. The plants thus benefit from a balanced supply of nitrogen for the foliage, phosphorus for the roots and potash for flowering and resistance. This integrated fertilisation makes it possible to space out the first additions of complementary fertilisers, thus simplifying the daily maintenance of your green space.
One of the major advantages of this Plantation potting mix is its exceptional water retention capacity of 631 mL/L. Thanks to the blond peat and green compost, the substrate acts like a real sponge, storing moisture to gradually return it to the plant as needed. This is crucial for container or container plantings, where the soil tends to dry out more quickly. With a pH of 5.8, this soil creates a slightly acidic environment, promoting optimal absorption of trace elements by the majority of garden plants.
The 35-litre format is perfectly suited for repotting several medium-sized containers or planting an isolated plant in the ground.
In pots or containers : Place a drainage layer at the bottom, partially fill with the Or Brun potting soil, install the root ball and top up. Pack lightly to remove air pockets.
In the ground : Mix the potting soil with your original soil to improve its structure and fertility.
The recommended periods of use are from February to June for spring plantings, and from September to November for autumn plantings, thus taking advantage of natural growth cycles.
