The Nantes-type carrot produces long cylindrical roots of 17-18 cm , sweet and well preserved. It is ideal for autumn and winter harvests due to its wide planting period and resistance to diseases, including alternariosis. This variety can give large production volumes, healthy roots and easy harvest.

The carrot cultivated since the 16th century comes from the wild carrot of the Middle East. The orange varieties we consume appeared in the 18th century, but now there are more than 500 different varieties, all listed. The carrot is a valuable vegetable for our meals, because it allows us to eat raw vegetables during periods when they are rare in our gardens.
